Please consider supporting us by making a donation. Every little helps us take care of our beloved ex-service dogs in their retirement.

Retired ex-service labrador, Floss

This is Floss. She sadly only lived for 2 years after her retirement. Her handler, Alistair Roberts, rehomed her to a very loving family. She had a great working life in the prison and was such a wonderful girl.

How your donations helped Lola

Tired Paws helped RPD Lola

Lola served at HMP Onley and was an exceptional alcohol detection dog

She retired several years ago following a diagnosis of heart problems.

Tired Paws now covers Lola’s monthly heart medication, helping her stay healthy, comfortable and happy in retirement.

Lola is just one example of where your donations go. Your generosity is helping our dogs enjoy the retirement they deserve.

How your donations helped Nina

A while back, Nina came into the Prison Service in a heartbreaking condition. Dog Handlers gave her the love, care and support she needed, and slowly rebuilt — physically and emotionally — until she was strong enough to trust people again. When the time was right, Nina started her initial training.

She gave it everything, but it soon became clear that her calling was a little different. Nina was destined to be someone’s pet, part of a family and part of a loving home.

Luckily, we found her the perfect family. They drove hours to meet her and instantly knew she was the one.

And now? She’s loving life. This is exactly why we do what we do. Tired Paws works tirelessly to make sure every dog gets the retirement they truly deserve. Can you help?

Thank you!

A heartfelt thank you from Retired Prison Dog Tess

When a prison dog retires from service, they don’t get any government support. So the Tired Paws Foundation steps into the breach, helping to rehome these hard working dogs and where necessary provide support with vets’ bills

Thank you for any support you can offer, by donating, entering our raffles, buying a calendar or even just by spreading our message and sharing our social media posts. We really appreciate it!
